Flu Bomb Tea Recipe

This recipe comes from Barbara O’Neil, an Australian Herbalist and Lecturer.

The ingredients of this immune boosting, germ-killing blend might look scary to you, but it works to help bust flu symptoms and keep your immune system kicking during the Winter months.

Next time you feel that tickle in your throat or sniffle in your nose, be brave and give this a try!

  • 1 or more cloves of garlic

  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • ¼ teaspoon chopped ginger

  • ½ drops of Eucalyptus oil

  • juice of a lemon

  • 1 teaspoon honey

Make sure and mince the garlic into small pieces and it helps to grate the ginger. The smaller you can get these two ingredients the easier it is to swallow them down.
Mix up all these taste bud exploding ingredients into 1 cup of hot water. Sometimes, I will steep mine on the stove top for 5 minutes, for an extra kick.
Drink 2-3 times a day for the first day. After that, take as needed.
