About the Experience
The Connected Birth Class is an intimate, full-day antenatal experience designed by Lucy Carroll and Melinda Webb.
Lucy is an experienced midwife and antenatal educator, deeply grounded in evidence-based birth education and compassionate care.
Melinda is the founder of Beattie Street Health, a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, doula since 2008, and a health practitioner trained in the work of Dr Joe Dispenza.
Their collaboration began years ago during Melinda’s acupressure workshops for midwives — a shared moment with Lucy that sparked a friendship rooted in a mutual love of birth, family, and the transformative power of knowledge. Together, they weave decades of experience into a day that honours both the physiology and the inner experience of birth.

Lucy guides you through the science and structure of birth — offering clear, practical, and evidence-based education drawn from years of midwifery practice.
Melinda joins Lucy to teach how breathwork, body-based awareness, and acupressure are vital tools for pregnancy, labour, birth, and beyond. Drawing on Chinese medicine, nervous system regulation, and her clinical experience, Melinda shares how breath and touch influence energy flow, emotional steadiness, and the body’s innate capacity to birth.
Together, they hold a grounded, calm, and deeply supportive space — blending the science of birth with the practice of being present.

Our one-day antenatal classes are held in person at Beattie Street Health Studio in Balmain — a space intentionally designed for calm, connection, and care.
If you are unsure whether you will birth vaginally or by caesarean section, this workshop is especially supportive. All birth pathways are covered with respect and clarity, empowering you to make informed, confident decisions. If you choose — or need — a caesarean birth, you will be equally prepared, supported, and educated.

Monday Night Breathwork & Meditation Classes
With Melinda webb A weekly space where the body exhales, the mind softens into stillness, and something deeper within you begins to reorganise.

Beattie Street Health Studio (Level 1)
Join Melinda every Monday evening for a 60-minute breath work and meditation experience designed for those ready to create change — not by force, but through presence, breath, and conscious awareness.
No prior experience is needed. Simply arrive as you are.
What to Expect
Each session is held in a calm, grounded space that allows you to step out of the momentum of daily life and return to your inner world.
The breath becomes the doorway — guiding you beyond familiar stress patterns and into a state where the nervous system can settle, the body can restore, and your inner state can shift.
Melinda is a health practitioner trained with Dr Joe Dispenza and is currently in advanced training to become a NeuroChangeSolutions (Neuroscience Solutions) Trainer. She weaves the science of neuroplastic change with breathwork and meditation, creating a practice that supports both deep calm and real transformation.
This is not a class to push through.
It is a space to enter.
