As a Doctor of Chinese medicine, Charlie is passionate about restoring optimal health to her patients.
She incorporates a professional and nurturing approach to her practice, integrating both eastern and western approaches. She counts women's and mental health among her special interests and her style is intuitive with a strong focus on the mind-body connection. When looking at health, Charlie believes in supporting the emotional, mental and physical aspects of healing.
Among her studies, Charlie has completed level four training in Balance Acupuncture, studying with Master Sonia Tan. She has also completed a mentorship program in the renowned clinics of Jane Lyttleton, studying and practicing in women’s health and male and female fertility.
About Charlie
Charlie lived most of her life in Minneapolis, Minnesota USA. The decade prior to moving to Sydney she was a certified birth doula, Lamaze childbirth educator and served on the board of a nonprofit that advocated legislatively for women’s health. She became passionate about and pursued a degree in Chinese medicine stemming from her own lived experience by also witnessing the benefits for her birthing clients.
Charlie is registered with AHPRA and The Australian Acupuncture Chinese Medicine Association, which ensures that she is maintaining the highest level of clinical practice and enables her to offer health rebates.
Charlie will incorporate a multifaceted approach, including dietary, herbal and lifestyle advice from both Eastern and Western influences in order to help restore your well-being. She is in clinic on Wednesday and Saturday.

Initial Consultation

In your initial consultation we will take a comprehensive assessment of your health history, concerns and general well-being. The session will be 60-90 minutes, including treatment. Treatment can include acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion, along with dietary and lifestyle advice. If appropriate, Chinese herbal medicine will be recommended.
Ask Charlie about prepaid multi follow up Care Packages. Thes are priced to save you 10% on regular appointment pricing. All are claimable through private health also.

New patient appointments are approximately 90 minutes and follow up appointments are 50 minutes. Each session includes a consultation, acupuncture treatment and any other modalities (cupping, gua sha or moxa) your practitioner feels would benefit you. Herbal recommendations are also provided.

Acupuncture for Fertility

Acupuncture is often used as a complementary treatment to conventional medicine for fertility and IVF. Whether being used for natural conception, or to help your body prepare for an IVF cycle, it can be a great tool.
Acupuncture has been shown to support fertility by increasing blood circulation to the ovaries to assist with optimal follicular development as well as increasing microcirculation to the uterus to encourage endometrial growth, increasing the chances of implantation.
Having treatment may also help to reduce stress levels, which can impact hormone levels and fertility.

Cupping and Guasha

Cupping aids with relaxing the body, removing tension and pain. Commonly used in treating musculoskeletal issues.
Great for aiding respiratory issues, cough or wheezing.
Gua sha is used to remove stagnation or aid with moving energy through the body. Commonly used for flu and pain and can aid with tension within the body.
