Charlie Foust
Dr Chinese Medicine
Like many who come to study Chinese medicine, Charlie’s path was shaped by a personal experience. In her twenties, she found relief from debilitating pain through acupuncture when nothing else helped. Deeply curious as to why something so simple could be so effective, her passion for Chinese medicine was sparked, leading her to a career she hadn’t planned but felt profoundly called to pursue.
Now, as a dedicated practitioner, Charlie combines her deep knowledge of Chinese medicine with an intuitive and compassionate approach to care. She understands the deep connection between physical and emotional health and takes a holistic approach to support each client’s unique health journey. Her treatments integrate multiple modalities, incorporating dietary, herbal, and lifestyle recommendations drawn from both Eastern and Western traditions to help restore balance and well-being. Whether addressing chronic pain, stress, digestive issues, or women’s health, Charlie tailours every treatment to the individual.
Her expertise is built on both rigorous study and hands-on experience. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Acupuncture and has received extensive training in fertility, including mentorship in the renowned clinics of Jane Lyttleton. She also follows the lineage of Dr. Richard Tan, studying classical meridian therapy under Master Sonia Tan.
If you’re seeking expert care from an experienced and compassionate clinician, Charlie welcomes you to book an appointment and take the next step toward balanced, lasting wellness.
About Charlie
Charlie lived most her life in Minneapolis, Minnesota USA. In the decade prior to her career in Chinese medicine, Charlie worked as a birth doula and childbirth educator. She also served on the board of a not-for-profit organisation that advocated legislatively for informed, supported, and empowered birth. With over a decade in that space, she carries a deep respect for a woman’s ability to birth her baby with confidence and care.
Charlie is registered with AHPRA and The Australian Acupuncture Chinese Medicine Association, which ensures that she is maintaining the highest level of clinical practice and enables her to offer health rebates.
Charlie will incorporate a multifaceted approach, including dietary, herbal and lifestyle advice from both Eastern and Western influences in order to help restore your well-being. She practices in clinic on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Acupuncture for Fertility
-
Acupuncture is often used as a complementary treatment to conventional medicine for fertility and IVF. Whether being used for natural conception, or to help your body prepare for an IVF cycle, it can be a great tool.
Acupuncture has been shown to support fertility by increasing blood circulation to the ovaries to assist with optimal follicular development as well as increasing microcirculation to the uterus to encourage endometrial growth, increasing the chances of implantation.
Having treatment may also help to reduce stress levels, which can impact hormone levels and fertility.
