Linda Wu
Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine)
Linda (Shui Ling) Wu is a conscientious Chinese medicine practitioner whose approach begins with a simple conviction: that you are more than the sum of your symptoms. Rather than treating only the conditions you raise in consultation, she looks to the whole person. Your history, your daily rhythms and works to restore the balance that allows your body to heal itself.
With a background in neuroscience, Linda has long been fascinated by the conversation between mind and body, a curiosity that led her to contribute to published research on the neural protective effects of herbal formulas. This grounding in modern science informs every treatment she offers.
Linda completed her internship at Nanjing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and she had the rare privilege of shadowing renowned practitioners across Nanjing, Beijing and Guangzhou throughout the past few years. Through them, she developed a deep understanding of how to treat eczema, immunological (Hashimoto’s thyroiditis) and endocrine disorders (Type 2 diabetes mellitus, polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome) through acupuncture treatment and/or herbal medicine decoctions.
Over the past two years, Linda has devoted herself to the study and practice of acupuncture and tuina (a form of Chinese therapeutic massage), with an emphasis on pulse diagnosis according to the Classics. This classical approach has proven especially effective for those living with chronic fatigue, insomnia, digestive issues, hormonal imbalance and persistent pain, and it allows her to tailor treatment to each patient's unique presentation.
Linda is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as both an acupuncturist and a Chinese herbal medicine practitioner, and she is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA), upholding high clinical standards and enabling private health rebates for her patients. If you are seeking a practitioner who listens attentively, keeps you accountable to your daily habits, Linda invites you to book an appointment. She practices in clinic on Friday and Saturday.
About Linda
Linda (Shui Ling) Wu draws her calling from lived experience. Born in Hong Kong, she grew up steeped in Chinese culture, practising Tai Chi from a young age and receiving herbal medicine and acupuncture from distinguished practitioners in China. These treatments eased her atopic dermatitis and nurtured her wellbeing. Deeply inspired by her mother’s thirty years caring for cancer patients as a Chinese medicine practitioner, she aspires to help others feel grounded and fully present in daily life by gently restoring the body’s inner balance. Proud to be a second‑generation Chinese medicine practitioner, she weaves this personal heritage into every consultation.
