The Body Remembers
Sometimes the mind has moved on, but the body has not.
Stress, shock, emotion and repeated patterns can show up physically as tension, shallow breathing, bracing, restlessness, fatigue or a feeling of being disconnected from yourself. Somatic Therapy with Melinda Webb works with the body as part of the conversation.
Drawing on her background in acupuncture, breathwork, bodywork and energetic therapies, Melinda brings these approaches together in a way that is responsive to what is present in your body on the day.
The session may include conscious breathwork, acupuncture, gentle bodywork and energetic techniques to help soften areas of holding, increase awareness and support the nervous system to move away from familiar stress responses.
This is not about forcing a release or searching for a particular emotional experience. It is about listening more closely to what the body is communicating and creating the conditions for something different to emerge.
As breathing changes and physical tension begins to soften, you may notice greater space within the body, more awareness of habitual patterns and a different relationship with stress, emotion and sensation.
For some people, the work feels deeply calming. For others, it can bring awareness to areas that have felt guarded, restricted or difficult to access. Every session is different.
When insight is not enough, the body becomes the place where change begins.

This session is designed for those who feel their system has reached full capacity — mentally, emotionally, physically, or energetically.
It is also for those who want a deeper understanding of why they feel the way they feel, and are ready to move beyond coping into real change.
This work supports change across the physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and ancestral layers.
-
Body-based work - Hands-on bodywork to help your system soften, unwind tension, and release held patterns.
-
Breath is used to support regulation, deepen awareness, and help the body shift from holding into release.
With Melinda’s background in Buteyko and working with Dr Joe Dispenza as one of his Inner Health Coalition Practitioners, breath work is the key to creating change.
-
Subtle energy work supports movement through deeper layers of the body and helps create more clarity, connection, and flow.
-
Acupuncture may be used to support the body’s systems and deepen the treatment, though this is not a standard acupuncture session and acupuncture is not always necessary.

Transformational Bodywork is an immersive hour with Melinda designed to help your body and nervous system shift out of overwhelm, release what has been stored, and reconnect with the intelligence already within you.
Many people leave feeling physically lighter, mentally clearer, emotionally released, and more deeply connected to themselves.
It is not simply about symptom relief. It is about helping the body move from holding, bracing, and surviving into a different way of being.
Many people understand their patterns. They can explain their stress, recognise their triggers, and know something in their life needs to shift.
But the body is still holding the tension.
The nervous system is still carrying the load. The mind may understand what is happening, yet the body remains in the same loop of stress, holding, fatigue, or overwhelm.
This is where transformational bodywork becomes powerful.
Rather than working only through the mind, this session helps the body reconnect with its innate intelligence, its natural ability to process, adapt, and create change when the right conditions are in place.
The philosophy behind the work
The body already holds the intelligence for change.
When the nervous system feels safe enough, it naturally begins to process, adapt, and shift what has been held.
My role is to create the conditions where that intelligence can move again — through bodywork, breath, subtle energy work, and where appropriate, acupuncture.
This is transformational work for those who are ready not only to feel better, but to understand themselves more deeply and begin living differently.
