Midwife & Antenatal Educator
Lucy is a Registered Midwife from Bath, England, with over 15 years experience. She trained at the prestigious City University London and began her career at a large NHS hospital in East London, rotating through the birthing, obstetric, antenatal, and postnatal units.
She later moved into community midwifery, running a low-risk pregnancy clinic, providing postnatal care at home, and attending many home births.
Over the years, Lucy has supported thousands of families and is recognised for her compassion, expertise, and ability to help women feel safe, supported, and heard.
Midwifery in Australia & Birth Education
In 2014, Lucy moved to Australia and began working at the Mater Private Hospital, gaining experience across the birthing unit, postnatal ward, and education team. Today, she continues to support families as a Clinical Midwife in the Mater’s Birthing Unit and as an Endorsed Midwife, offering continuity of care appointments at North Shore Private Hospital.
In 2019, she founded Birth & Beyond Education after recognising the need for smaller, more personal classes than those offered in large hospital settings. Since then, Lucy has educated over 1000 couples through her intimate group and private workshops, helping families feel informed, supported, and confident as they prepare for every type of birth. As one of Mater Hospital’s chosen education providers, you may even see Lucy again when it’s time to welcome your baby.
