Health Starts Within
To move the mind, we move the body from the familiar to the unfamiliar. Creating wellbeing with mindbody medicine, changing how you feel and think in your everyday life.
Melinda Webb, founder of Beattie Street Health, has worked in holistic medicine for over 10 years. Work with her to instil positive change that you feel and see.
Melinda's innovative approach combines traditional acupuncture techniques with breathwork and visualisation, drawing from her training as one of Dr Joe Dispenza's Health Practitioners (1 of 300 in the world). This sets her apart in the wellness community.
Melinda is a registered acupuncturist and is widely recognised as one of the leading health and wellness experts in her field. She is known for her warm approach and the remarkable results she achieves with her clients.
Melinda's path to acupuncture was paved by personal experience. Her journey began during her fertility struggles with her second child and as a remedy for postnatal depletion whilst balancing career and family life. Growing up with a mother who advocated for alternative medicine, Melinda was exposed from an early age to the benefits of acupuncture and herbal medicine.
The profound changes Melinda experienced after her first acupuncture treatment ignited a passion that would shape her future. This transformative experience led her to pursue a career in the field, committing to four years of rigorous study at university. Her educational journey didn't stop there; Melinda went on to study Japanese acupuncture, ultimately developing her unique style of care.
Inspired by herbal remedies and dietary changes, she works to optimise her clients' health across various areas including immunity, hormonal, gut, sleep, stress and overall healing. Her commitment to holistic wellness extends far beyond individual treatments, beyond the treatment room, Melinda is dedicated to supporting families as an antenatal educator at Beattie Street Health Studio. She has been a Doula since 2008, and mentors other Doula’s. She has recently completed her study as a Spinal Energetics practitioner.

Acupuncture
-
Acupuncture has been used for centuries as a holistic approach to wellness. The practice is based on the belief that there are energy pathways, or meridians, throughout the body.
When these pathways become blocked, it can lead to illness and disease. Acupuncture is thought to help improve energy flow by stimulating specific points in the body. This, in turn, can promote healing and balance.
Acupuncture is most commonly used to treat chronic pain, like back or neck pain. However, it can also effectively aid with acute pain, such as headaches or joint pain. In addition, acupuncture has been shown to help with various other conditions, such as anxiety, depression, and insomnia. Melinda also offers cupping and moxibustion.
Shonishin - a non-invasive technique is used to treat both infants and children.

Relax, restore, and realign with a tailored acupuncture treatment focused on general well-being, muscle relief and stress reduction.
Acupuncture is also thought to improve circulation and increase the production of endorphins, which may help reduce pain. For these reasons, acupuncture is an excellent resource for those struggling with stress hormones and mood.

Acupuncture for Fertility and IVF
-
Acupuncture is often used as a complementary treatment to conventional medicine for fertility and IVF. It can be a great tool to help prepare your body for an IVF cycle.
Acupuncture has been shown to help improve blood flow to the uterus, improving the thickness of the uterine lining and increasing the chances of implantation.
Having treatment may also help to reduce stress levels, which can impact hormone levels and fertility.

Women’s Health

One area where acupuncture can be particularly helpful is in regulating the menstrual cycle. Because acupuncture helps balance the body's flow of energy, it can be very effective in correcting any imbalances that may be causing irregular periods.
In addition, acupuncture may help to relieve some of the symptoms associated with premenstrual syndromes (PMS), such as bloating, mood swings, and headaches.
Acupuncture is also thought to improve circulation and increase the production of endorphins, which may help reduce pain. For these reasons, acupuncture is an excellent resource for those struggling with their menstrual cycle.
