“Sometimes I feel so invisible because no one else can feel my pain but me. I used to manage and mask my pain with smiles and soldier on, afraid of letting anyone down. Now I realise that behaviour only made the inflammation levels in my body worse, as I was putting my body and mind under immense pressure to ‘BE’ ‘Normal’. It was only causing more stress, interrupting my natural healing ability and limiting my capacity to manage my emotions.
